    If an occupation is not listed on the MLTSSL occupation list then there is no eligibility for the 189 Visa and individuals should check the STSOL list for 190 visa requirements.

    189 Skilled Visa

    As stipulated in the migration rules, potential 189 Visa candidates must obtain a mandatory points score before submitting an expression of interest, and the current score is 65 points.     If you receive an invitation to apply for the visa 189 Australia you have 60 days in which to accept, pay the fees and submit an online application.

    Invitations for the 189 are based on claims made during Expression of Interest and your formal 189 visa pplication application must reflect the information accurately, and be backed up by documented evidence.

    You will also be issued with a HAP code to get a medical and at this stage will be required to complete police and background checks.
